Stuff To Do – August

Monday, August 10th, 2009

July was a lot more productive than I would have thought.  Here’s what’s stirring for August:

Deferred from last month:

  • Work on second mosaic (deferred).
  • Continue query-letter process (sixteen letters out, seven rejections so far, one query returned and resent)
  • Get everything synched with garage-door openers for both cars (deferred).
  • Schlep to IKEA for furniture for family room (bookcases and media center and suchlike) (accomplished – going with the Crate and Barrel stuff, though).
  • Get will paperwork finalized (scheduled).
  • Get the home theater people to finally fix the channel-changing delay (FAIL, will try again next month).

New for this month:

  • Schlep to Toyota dealer to put satellite radio in new van (scheduled).
  • Figure out how to stuff two five-month-olds in an MD-80 for three hours without a meltdown – twice (FAIL on outbound flight, accomplished on inbound flight).
  • Schedule time for builder to fix nail pops and suchlike (accomplished).
  • Actually go through house and identify (with post-it notes) every place we need the builder to fix nail pops (accomplished.
  • Get a haircut (accomplished).
  • Apply fertilizer to backyard trees (accomplished).
  • Pick up GWB and RR photos and documents from Michael’s when they’re ready  (accomplished) and then hang them up on the wall of the office (accomplished).
  • Get dress shirts and sport coats to and from dry cleaners  (accomplished).
  • Get sweet corn from little farmstand  (accomplished).
  • Get oil changed on car (accomplished).
